I have set Firefox as my default browser. I can open it using a shortcut on my desktop. However, if I follow a link from an email, it does not open in Firefox. How come?

Try to redo the default browser setting and temporarily set another browser as the default browser.

Microsoft Outlook 365 will use Edge unless you tell it to use the default browser.
