I guess there was an update to Firefox today because everything about my browser was a mess! >:( I have always had the Honey and Pinterest pin it buttons on my toolbar, and they have worked just fine. Now that this nightmare "update" happened, they don't show anymore, even though they are enabled in my settings and all permissions are checked. I am NOT very techy, so please don't reply with a long technical response that requires me to spend an hour trying to fix it. The buttons showed before, so why not now?! Please help! I've cleared cache and cookies, cleared history, everything I can think of and nothing is working. :'( TIA
Since now the first stable release of Thunderbird for Android is available, will I need to move from the beta version to it or will this be done with an update?

I have gone through the traditional delete process. It just says I have to finish the update before I can delete it. I can't get the update to finish. I have not had my email on this computer since Friday.
Since the update loaded last night I have restarted computer at least 4 times. Every time it just shows up as you need to reboot your computer.
I have updated to the latest version, 115.17.0esr (64-bit) and the tabs are continuously crashing. Is there a resolution to this and/or can I revert to the prior version?… (read more)

A few weeks ago after an automatic update I ended up having Thunderbird version 131.0.1 installed, I have no idea how this happened. On opening I get a message telling me I shouldn't be using a beta version and that I should revert to the latest general release version (128.4)
Today when I had some free time I downloaded 128.4 and installed it. On opening it it says that I can't use a profile file from a later version with the earlier version. Is there a way to recover from this WITHOUT having to set up the whole profile again from scratch.
Meanwhile I have done a system restore so I am back with 131.0.1 It has not given me any problems so far. Is there a new general release version imminent that will get me back on track?
I would appreciate any help I am not a computer expert, just a user, and find Thunderbird a very good email client.

Hey all, just wanted to put it out here that recently (maybe 3 or 4 days, so ~Nov 1, 2024) I noticed that Facebook was really dragging; the feed would take a second to load posts as I scrolled, clicking on photos or advancing through an album would require a 1 -2 second delay before advancing/loading the photo, Reels were slow to load. And when I would type a reply or comment it was easily 1 - 2 words behind. No similar behavior on other sites - works as it should. Only on FB.
Cleared cache/history, quit and reloaded, no change.
Disabled extensions ( I run two: Ad Blocker Plus and Container), and restarted. Worked great in FB. Reloaded Ad Block, still worked great. Reloaded Container and it started lagging again.
So, maybe Facebook Container is due for an update?
My set up: Apple MPB M1 Pro (2021), Ventura 13.3.1, Firefox 132

After Firefox updated on 11/1/2024, I completely lost all my bookmarks. Going thru the online tools/suggestions, I only see one profile and bookmark backups show only two files dated 11/1/2024 and 11/4/2024. Don't see any others prior to that. Perplexed why and how this particular update undid all this. I am missing something here or not looking in the right place? Some of these bookmarks go back a decade or more.

The calendar file is definitely in my Profile backup and it is over 1000 kb but nothing I have tried will import this local.sqlite file. I cannot find any other software that will import this file. Here is the detail I got from Edge: " This server couldn't prove that it's download.mozilla.org; its security certificate is from 1099cloud.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection. "
What is '1099cloud.com ', which stops me from downloading anything from firefox website? How can I fix it?

Oy. I put this in community, then I realized I should ask for support isntead. But somehow logging in for a community post didn't help. I've spent nearly half an hour already just to get far enough that I'm logged on, dagnabbit!! Thing is, I was tech savvy 30-40 years ago. But I've not been keeping up.
Problem is: I got a new laptop recently. Dell, Windows. And there were problems with the earbuds. I went back to the local vendor a couple times to get it fixed. Warranty, dontcha know? It's been OK for awhile now.
Until this morning. I DLed an update yesterday, and it installed when I fired up this morning. And the earbuds now do not work at all. The machine will not recognize them. At all. This is the first perhaps direct correlation I've noticed, so I'm wondering if my FireFox update means I can no longer listen to videos or music through the earbuds. Here's the error message that pops up:

Of course, I didn't type the file name in. It's part of booting up the machine. And it worked just fine. It quit this morning, and the only change was a FireFox update.
Perhaps related? In addition, my PhotoShop worked for awhile, and now when I try to open it only hangs. Otherwise, I'd have sent you a screenshot. Could FireFox somehow have affected that, too? It's an old version, and I'm too old to want to buy a new one, big learning curve. Besides, now they want me to rent it, when I still have the disks to install the original Creative Suite 3, which I'm fluent at and am in need of no more new features. (I am elderly, in my 70s, retired, and not ambitious for new skills &c.)
Could these problems somehow correlate with installing updates? Any suggestions? I'm coming to the end of the line for what I can get fixed under warranty. Just wanting PhotoShop & earbuds to work, is that too much to ask? Could FireFox updates somehow be causing these problems?
I'm uploading a picture from my camera of the pop-up error message. Maybe it will help? It's bigger than needed. I don't have access to my normal tools. Sorry.
Or is this just a case where nobody will help me, everyone says the problem comes from elsewhere, not them. What I'm after is earbuds that work. Is that too much to ask?

Was offered the chance to update to 132.0 (About | Help) (I do not and will not ever allow automatic updates without user approval, and my profile is stored in an entirely separate folder structure well away from the insecure \users hierarchy). Did the usual click on the update button, showed 132.0 downloading, update button changed to "Restart to Update", clicked the button...
And the update failed. Help | About shows 131.0.3, and the "Restart to Update" button is still active.
Tried again with a full shutdown instead of using the update button, same result.
So how do I force this update to install?

Hi As I am testing something on firefox browser at the moment i have a question. Is it possible for me to have more than one instance of firefox running on my computer with each having different settings. I would like to have eg. 3 browsers open with no 1 having A B and C extension installed - no 2 having D E and F extension installed and so on is that possible or can I do it in ohter ways so I can work in more firefox browsers at the same time?
