Hi AnthonyMalina, could you take a look at the Options page:

  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
  • Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it

In the left column, click Home

The on the right side, under Firefox Home Content can you make sure there's a check mark for "Top Sites"? If that is on, what number of rows shows in the selector to the right?

Note that you can also click the cogwheel button in the top right corner on the Firefox Home page to go to "Options/Preferences -> Home".

Sounds that you clicked "Remove Section" in the three-dot drop-down menu as that removes the entire top sites section.
If you want to remove a single item then you need to click the three-dot icon that appears if you hover a specific tile.
