Error code when opening Deviantart stash links and stamps
Whenever I click on one of these links [deviantart://deviation/0D164CD9-3F96-42A5-C696-0B98D504C478], I get this error code:
"The address wasn’t understood
Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (deviantart) isn’t associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.
You might need to install other software to open this address."
I tried using other browsers too and I tried opening on Firefox Android, I also tried Firefox's recovery mode without plugins: I get the same error. I looked through similar problems, I read something about the Windows registry, but I really don't know what's missing from there that's not making it work. What should I do?

Ok deviantart://deviation/0D164CD9-3F96-42A5-C696-0B98D504C478 I see what you say now it is a internal redirection. You are going to have to contact their support since it is internal as it is not a proper coding address for internal either. That is why Firefox is not seeing it in 57. Firefox is a lot stricter on looking at code than other browsers are.

Hi Lucky02,
If you tried in other browser and the result is the same then it might be the link itself that is not working properly.
Were you ever able to open this link, it doesn't look like a valid address?
Hello Madasan
Yes, I used to be able to open them before. I started having these problems after changing computer when my old one broke.
What I find weird is that after browsing around to find anyone else experiencing the same thing, I found nothing. Just similar problems given by other pages. So I suppose it's happening just to me.
This is not a link [deviantart://deviation/0D164CD9-3F96-42A5-C696-0B98D504C478], I get this error code: The above was possibly a malformed link to a picture.
This is the link to it :
You will have to find that particular picture again.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
I'm afraid I still do.
Basically Deviantart lets you copy paste on your page a code that shows a particular picture, and clicking on that picture you get redirected to the original.
Example: https://lucky02-overmaster.deviantart.com/
That's my page, there's 4 flags in the bio. Those are stamps. Normally clicking on one you get redirected to the original page of the stamp (This one https://theflagandanthemguy.deviantart.com/art/Italian-language-level-NATIVE-485922504). I don't know why it doesn't seem to work now.

@Lucky02, those other links problem isn't a FF issue but a diviantart.com issue that they need to fix. Here's what it says when I click on one of those flags.
The address wasn’t understood

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Ghostery, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.
- make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).
"Clear the cache:
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
@Pkshadow
Alright then, thank you for the help and for clearing it up. At least now I know what's going on.
