On almost every page, FF freezes up for 10-20 seconds and when I do manage to get an error message, it's about a Javascript running slowly and there are the usual choices: Continue, Debug, Stop. This does not happen with Chrome 39.0.2171.95 dev-m or IE 11.0.15.

I have a dual-boot machine and when I use Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, that version of FF has no issues.

I understand that there is an unresponsive script running javascript when you browse Firefox.

When Firefox hangs, it can be caused by numerous things. To troubleshoot the obvious issues please see: Firefox hangs or is not responding - How to fix
