You can put Firefox in permanent private browsing mode.

  1. Click either the Firefox button or the Tools menu and choose Options.
  2. Click the Privacy icon.
  3. Set "Firefox will: Never remember history".

There is also a command line switch to start Firefox in Private Browsing mode.
