I am using firefox24.0. I had previously been using www.duolingo with no problems. I can now access my lessons but it doesn't give me credit for completed lesson. I accessed it with internet explorer and it worked fine. I also tried to access it in firefox safemode but it did the same thing. I also reset firefox and same results. I am out of ideas. Any suggestions ?
Chosen solution
I restarted my computer and now everything is fixed. Duolingo is working properly and no more security questions.
Thanks for everyone's help !!

Hello,
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:
- Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
- Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
- Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
- From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
- Now click the Clear now button.
Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

Thank you.
Hi,
I tried that and it is still the same. Any other suggestions ?
It is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted if clearing cookies doesn't work.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
Does it has any effect if you open a Private Browsing mode window?
That didn't help either. Now I think I have messed things up even more. I tried uninstalling foxfire. I have reinstalled it and am now using version 27.0.1. Now everytime I try to open a webpage (any), I get a message that says: This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to www.facebook.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified. What Should I Do?
If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.
How do I fix this ? I can't access anything now on firefox.
