Spell checker keeps reverting to US spelling in spite of the British Lanuage Dictionary (1.19.1) being installed.

Anyone know why? I have to change this every time by right clicking and choosing the British setting, but this should surely be the default, since it is listed as the default setting in my add ons?

If you do not keep changes after a restart then see:

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.
