Hi there,

Firefox crashes upon start up, even after a complete removal and fresh installation. The crash report information is:

ID: 26b6173e-bd70-493f-b10b-d95c72120807 Signature: _moz_cairo_destroy

I hope this is helpful.

Any thoughts?

Best,

Nathan

Could you try starting up in Firefox's Safe Mode? Simply hold the Shift key when double-clicking the Firefox icon.

When you get the dialog, do not check any boxes, just click Continue in Safe Mode. Will Firefox start?

Looks like resetting your Firefox home page to something other than Google may resolve the crashes, so restart in Firefox Safe Mode if possible (click "Continue in Safe Mode") and follow the steps in How to set the home page.

If Firefox won't let you run it without crashing, even in Firefox Safe Mode, restart Firefox again by holding down the SHIFT key while you double-click the Firefox icon, then select the troubleshooting option, Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults and click "Make changes and restart". This will reset all modified preferences, including your Firefox home page, which will be reset to the default "about:home".
