when I open my Firefox browser and then choose a link I am not able close the tab in which the link opens and I am not able to return to the original website

In addition to the above, i am not able to open any link that appears in the bar below the main bar on the browser. Also, no matter how many times I reset my home page, it then changes and this is what opens... http://mystart.incredibar.com/mb124

Resetting Firefox should do the trick. Instructions here - Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
