Following update to Firefox 9. will not allow a change of configure settings; HTTP Proxy:127.0.0.1 Port 50370.

Manual change following FF sign is effective untill sign off. At sign on manual change is once more needed for the current session. This preferance seems not to be saved.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
