When opening a bookmark - it opens in the current "opened" tab (not in a new tab)... In the options panel [open new windows in a new tab] option is selected. I also tried this in Safe Mode with no plug-ins installed,

Seems version 8.0 update messed with a lot of settings. I hate browsing now, as I often open many tabs and links at once - then read at will. Many plugins are no longer working too....

I have always liked Fire Fox, Surprised this was allowed to get out the door. I hope someone has an answer.

Thanks !!

Check your addons to see if you have one of the many addons that customize tab settings and functionality, etc. If so, disable it.

Hello,

I found this useful extension:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/open-bookmarks-in-new-tab/

not sure if it solves your issue

Teppei , I d/l and installed the plugin you suggested, It does fix the situation !! However, it will probably be disabled on the next minor update to Firefox. as most I have been using with version 7.xx .

Thanks a bunch! Maybe the problem will be fixed in the next update....
