Hi,

I recently downloaded the newer version of FF and now when i click to open it i am getting an error in the top left corner of my screen. i can't even read what the message says in entirety b/c it's wrapping over off the side of the screen. When I click the error message than FF will open. Also, when I'm trying to send emails from an online shopping cart thru my business and I'm getting an error that it won't send and that's never happened until this problem w/FF. Please tell me what i should to to get FF working normally again.

Can you tell us what text is in the part that you can read ?

Is it a message from Firefox or from the Mac Operating System ?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

i opened FF, was met w/error. clicked on error, FF opened. Went thru steps to do a safe start which it allowed and it restarted w/out any problems. when i quit FF and then tried to reopen i was met w/same error message from initially. i think this is a FF problem b/c i am not having any problems with Safari and this problem started right after i downloaded the newest version of FF.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

  • Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
