Hello gbeasau,

If the problem does not occur in Safe Mode, then one of your add-ons (assuming you have any) may be causing it.

You can find out if that's the case by disabling them (safe mode will do that) and then re-enable them one by one until you find the culprit.

If that isn't it, we'll have to look for something else ....

Bummer ......  :(

Would you please take a look at this article and scroll down to the section :

"The problem does not happen in Safe Mode "

As one of your extensions isn't the culprit; you can of course skip that part.

Any luck ?

Are you using a userChrome.css or userContent.css ? Safe Mode ignores those, also.

Good for you to point that out !

(they should mention it in the article)

They are commonly called scripts, used to make custom modifications to the browser like, tabs on the bottom, etc. So, yeah, they apply to Firefox but only as far as custom use.

Have you tried what is mentioned in the article I linked to earlier ?

If, however, your problem is the same as mentioned in the thread you also posted in :

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1269381

Then this is a completely different ball game ....

Could you tell us what exactly it is that isn't working with "minimize" ?

Keep in mind that when you disable extensions they simply stop running. They don't always undo any changes that they made when they started. You may need to disable suspected extensions and restart Firefox.

I haven't tried all options yet. When I try to minimize a page in Firefox it changes ( minimizes) slightly but you have to look closely to notice. All others ( Chrome etc ) work fine and Firefox minimizes in 'safe mode'.

Well, good for you - well done !

Would you be so kind as to mark your own (last) post as Chosen Solution ?

It's the "Solved the problem" button to the right of your (not mine) post.

Awww, you marked my post instead of your own .....

You can rectify it by clicking on the "Undo" button to the right of my post, and then mark your own post.

(sorry to put you through all this trouble)
