Hello troyanddeb,
Would you check your home page setting please :
3-bar menu botton : Options => General => Startup : Home page
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-set-the-home-page
(Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols)
appreciate the response but my homepage is set and worx when i open it is when i get other page that i told u about above?

In your original post you say that these pages open in addition to your home page; I'm not quite sure whether you mean that these extra pages opened different tabs - hence my suggestion to check your home page setting .....
When you say "and so on .... " does that mean that many more tabs are opened in addition to your home page ?
Would you please take a look at the Chosen Solution in this thread and see if maybe this will solve your problem as well ?
ok i`ll try and explain better, when i open my homepage and then close it theres another whole page there behind it advertising expedia type ads and in the address bar it saz "choose a travel site" then firefox mozilla.............. its just an ad page looks like its sponsered by firefox? and its there when i close my browser and homepage? and the on and on means its all on one page but it saz pick from....expedia and trivago and 4 or 5 other travel sites....
Would it be possible for you to provide a screenshot of this
nuisance ?

this last siggestion seems to have fixed the problem thnx for all ur help
One last thing, I would double check that there is no malware on your computer by downloading Malwarebytes from www.malwarebytes.com and running a full scan and removing anything it finds. Often weird pages come about because of malware.
yep running a scan now thnx
