Firefox 63 Already Open on Logon (cold boot)
I am running Firefox 63.0.1 (64-bit) on my Windows 10 Pro x64 1803 desktop.
As of this writing, I've come to notice that Firefox, for some weird reason, has started up or perhaps something has caused it to launch all on its own when I boot for the first time in the day. Once I've logged on, Firefox is already open and on my homepage.
I'm usually the safest person when it comes to using my computer and I did run a scan using Defender as well as Malarebytes on my machine. The plausibility of a virus or malware of some soft is prevalent (but not verified; i.e. scans found nothing).
The last thing I remember doing on Firefox before this random glitch is deleting site history for a particular domain of which I had visited frequently and of which contained many, many listings. Firefox took a while to fix that.
As far as applications go, the only thing I installed recently enough to even cause this would be Pidgin. I ran scans on the installation file before running it, so I somehow doubt it's that.
Curios as to what is causing Firefox to launch, I checked out Event Viewer and didn't find anything.
Next, I ran Autoruns and found two entries for Firefox under the logon tab--both which deal with accessing Skype for some reason. Seeing as how I never saw Skype between these two events, I don't think that's it either.
How can I find out what's causing Firefox to launch without my interaction?

hi, this is a new feature in windows 10 that can restore applications that were running (and not shut-down by the user) at the time of the shutdown: Firefox starts automatically when I restart Windows

What's weird is that when I exit Firefox, I'm usually not on my homepage (which the article suggests would be my previously opened pages). I believe that's due to a setting I have set? I don't like this feature because it probably takes up unnecessary resources during startup and for obvious reasons gave me a fright, thinking I had acquired some kind of virus.
Nonetheless, I appreciate the timely response and thank you for supplying me with the answer to mitigate this unwanted feature.
