YouTube videos won't load when timejumping
Hi,
As soon as I start timejumping in YouTube videos (for example), the video gets stuck in a loading loop with the never ending spinning wheel. Sometimes I can timejump a few times before the video gets into the stuck loop, and reloading the entire webpage may fix the hickup temporarily, until I timejump again... Got the same issue on every single PC that I own, Win 7 & 10. But the problem is not related to the hardware or the network, and it only happens in Firefox, not IE, Edge, or Chrome. No first or third party software like an AV or Firewall blocking anything.
Tried the following:
- Cleared Firefox cookies and cache.
- Updated Firefox and every plug-in.
- Removed all the plug-ins, even built-in ones.
- Disabled OpenH264 Codec, Google Encryption, Safe Browsing & Flash Player.
The only suggestion left on the support page is to disable Java, but that's easier said than done since Quantum doesn't even support Java. Any helpful ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you are not blocking content.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}

Have fully updated graphic drivers, and I forgot to mention that I've already tried disabling the Tracking Protection even though it wasn't blocking anything.
I also tried re-installing Flash Player / ActiveX which initially didn't make much difference. But now it works hell of a lot better for some reason, and I believe it's due to the re-install since it's the only recent change I've made and because I could see a small change in the behavior which the video got stuck in a loading loop. Now the video gets stuck at specific points, but it's not nearly as common as it used to be, and I can definitely live with that.
So I'm calling this issue solved. Thanks again for really great support!
