Hi Firefox keeps on suspending when switching between different tabs (already opened or new tabs). When the FF is hang I can do nothing in the FF, but I can operate on the Windows (8.1) without issues.

I have already tried: - Put new Firefox portable - the same issue - Close other tabs - Disable EMET for Firefox - Prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser set to True - Security.sandbox.content.level set to 2 - Disable add-ons plugins and start in safe mode

Nothing of above helps. I would appreciate If you could provide the solution. I attached Troubleshooting information.

Today I have reinstalled Firefox (Desktop version - installation / non-portable version) and removed all Mozilla folders from Roaming, Local. It works better. However it still crashes. Any ideas?

Crashing or hanging?

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

You are right. I was mistaken. Firefox gets hung (not crash) Nevertheless, I opened "about:crashes" and nothing seen as expected. Any other ideas?:)

Hi, I suspect that something is wrong with the portable version. After the reinstallation to non-portable, I had it suspended only once. So far it is stable long time, around 16 hours with one restart of computer. I have been using FF normally without safe mode. If it occurs I'll try your recommendations. Thank you!

Unfortunately I have again the issue on the desktop version recently installed. It also appears in -safe-mode. I've notice that freeze takes 5-30 seconds since opening the tab using ctrl+t and after this 5-30 seconds I can operate FF normally till next opening tab with the shortcut.

When I use "+" icon on the right upper corner, I haven't noticed this and similarly no issue when opening link in new tab (pressing ctrl)

I have the similar issue on another laptops with different system (Windows 10) and firewall (Defender).

Any ideas?

Many have reported issues using the 64bit Firefox. Install the 32bit version from; Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}

I've launched 32b version and at beginning it was working fine. However, after few days it began to hung.

And the same it always hung when new tab is being opened using either ctrl+t or "+" icon upper right corner.

But it do not suspend when I click on links with option to open in new tab.

Would it possible to report this issue to developers, may be they could help?
