I updated and all bookmarks are gone. followed directions to restore. Got error message: Unable to process the backup file. What do I do now?

Hello, drag the Bookmarks Menu to the UI. You can do this by >> clicking on the hamburger menu >> select "Customize Firefox" then drag the Bookmark Menu to the UI -- alternatively press Ctrl + Shift + B, your bookmarks should indeed be there.

I get to the point where it asks to restore tabs (Image 1) but when I select the most recent date to restore, I get an error message (Image 2)
