How do I STOP firefox asking to remember my passwords?

more options

I have a rigid password regime that I use everywhere. Do NOT need the security issue of having firefox remembering any of my passwords. Don't know what the function is called but want to know how to get rid of Firefox asking me for passwords.

On another note; It sucks to have to register a user in order to register an complaint/issue. My user her will be gone after I get an answer for this issue.

regards

Have you tried "tools", "options", "security", and uncheck the box labelled "remember logins for sites"? That looks like the option, although I've never tried it. It is annoying that they don't use the word 'password' any more but the more vague term "logins".

Yes, that is the correct answer. For users that do not display the classic menu bar, either:

  • tap the Alt key or press the F10 function key to display it temporarily
  • look for Options on the graphical application menu (the one that opens when you click the "3-bar" menu button toward the right end of the toolbar)
It is annoying that they don't use the word 'password' any more but the more vague term "logins".

Maybe because it saves both the username and the password? (I really have no idea...)

Or pay it forward by visiting from time to time and helping other users. That's how most support volunteers got started.  :-)
