Access your add-ons with a Mozilla account

In Firefox version 57 and above, only extensions built using WebExtensions APIs will work. See Firefox add-on technology is modernizing and these Frequently Asked Questions for details.

The Mozilla Add-ons site is using Mozilla accounts for a more integrated experience across all Mozilla products and services (see this Mozilla blog for the background). Use your existing Mozilla account or create a new one to access your add-ons on https://addons.mozilla.org.

Upgrade from an Add-ons account to a Mozilla account

If you have an existing Add-ons account, you can upgrade to Mozilla accounts by signing in or registering with a Mozilla account that matches your Add-ons email address.

You can find instructions for signing in or registering below.

Sign in to an existing account

If you already have a Mozilla account, you can sign in to the Add-ons site.

  1. Go to the Add-ons site.
  2. Click Sign in.
  3. Enter your email address and password, then click Sign in.
  4. You will be redirected back to https://addons.mozilla.org.

Create a new account

If you’ve never had an Add-ons account or a Mozilla account, sign up for Mozilla accounts to get started with the Add-ons site.

  1. Go to the Add-ons site.
  2. Click Register.
  3. Enter your email address, password and age, then click Create account.
  4. You will receive a confirmation email from Firefox with a 6-digit confirmation code. Use it to confirm your account.
  5. You will be redirected back to https://addons.mozilla.org.

For more information, see Access Mozilla services with a Mozilla account.

Deleting your Mozilla account

Please see this article to learn how to delete your Mozilla account.

When you delete your Mozilla account, your https://addons.mozilla.org account will also be deleted and all of its associated data is deleted with it. If you later create a new account using the same email address, no add-ons will be associated with it.

Before deleting your account, we recommend that you transfer any add-ons you have developed to a new owner. If you share add-on ownership with other accounts, your account will be removed from the ownership list once it has been deleted.
