Hi tysonsrose, is this problem with viewing the PDF in a Firefox tab, or viewing a download?
Viewing PDF in a tab
Could you first check that the plugin is activated on the page where it's not working?
Look for a plugin notification icon in the address bar -- it typically looks like a small, dark gray Lego block. If you click that icon, Firefox should indicate whether the page has permission or use the Adobe Acrobat DC plugin or whether permission is required. (You can allow the site to use a plugin for the time being or permanently.)
If the icon doesn't appear:
- Firefox may not be detecting the PDF object properly in that page for some reason
- Firefox may be using the built-in viewer
On the second point, you can check your preferred viewer using the steps in this article: Use Adobe Reader to view PDF files in Firefox.
If the icon appears but the plugin isn't working for that PDF, hmm, this is hard to assess without access and obviously this isn't the kind of document you want to share.
View PDF in the Adobe Reader application (not in a tab)
Is Adobe Reader set as your preferred viewer for PDFs? See: View and edit PDF files using Firefox’s built-in viewer.
Sometimes there are issues if the site does not send a complete file name (including .pdf) to Firefox. If you notice that the downloaded files do not have a .pdf extension, you might need to fix that manually.
First, make sure Windows is set to show you all file extensions. For example: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hide-file-name-extensions
Next, set Firefox to ask you where you want to save downloads, which will give you an opportunity to inspect and modify file extensions when you save them. See: Startup, home page, tabs, and download settings.
Does that help, or is the problem something else?

jscher2000 can i have you as my personal consultant.TONY Thanks again..
Hey Tony, Firefox support is a "time available" gig for most of us, so you'll just have to share me with everyone else! Also, there are weeks when others on this forum will give you faster answers than me, so I suggest to keep using the system.
jscher2000 CAN"T blame me for trying .thanks again. how did that application get out of adjustment in the first place??

Hmm, well, I really have no idea. Sometimes "stuff" happens.
