App for Firefox wont display in Win 10 (it has disappeared) and I can't find 'Options' in Menu tab to ensure Firefox my preferred browser

Recently, my Win 10 started deferring to MS Edge as the link browser. I went to Settings/Default Apps/Browser and there is no Firefox icon.

I then went to 'Set Default by App' and there is no Firefox icon.

I then went to Firefox menu, and there is no Options button to be able to set Firefox as default.

I'm stuck, please help.

Oh, and the Firefox version I'm running is 48.

Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar. Turn on Always Check Firefox Default Browser.
