It picks up at seemingly random times and sends me to revenue websites.

I tried, finding the host on the system registry, tried looking for a recently installed program, firefox addons/plugins, windows defender/hitman pro.

Nothing helps so far, the malware redirect page is:

http://engine.phn.doublepimp.com/link.engine?guid=88ca85df-d43d-4f64-bc7d-ebc1818e3703

It sends me to multiple revenue per link access sites like http://www.reimageplus.com and porn sites with extremely ugly chicks.

This is a clean windows 10 install from 2 weeks ago but still, knowing something i recently installed was bundled with a virus didn't provide me with any leads so far, hoping anyone can help.

Hi, you can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Note that not all removal programs will detect all malware, so you may need to run several or all of them.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Thanks a lot. Malwarebytes failed, anti-rootkit failed, eset failed. Hitman pro and windows defender failed as mentioned above.

But AdwCleaner pulled through and found the virus, it was a malware attached to an addon called foxlingo (translator addon) which i downloaded from a random site i found because it wasn't on the official list approved by mozilla.

Haha, it's a great translator used to have for years, a pity it only comes bundled with a virus now.
