Search result of Wolfram Alpha comes out blank.
the step to recreate the issue: go to google.com search 'wolfram alpha' go to wolframalpha.com search 'USA' press 'enter' and all i get is a huge trunk of white space. I'm using a 64 bit windows 7 ultimate computer with flash player, adobe reader, java and Microsoft Silverlight installed. the website works if i use IE 11. i reinstalled Firefox without any add-on/extension but it does not resolve the issue.
please tell me how to fix this.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
thank you for reply in such short time.
i tried ctrl + F5 and clear cache using your method. it's not working.
Do you see any text in the page source?
- Firefox > Web Developer > Page Source
- Tools > Web Developer > Page Source (Ctrl+U)
- right-click on a web page and select View Page Source
Did you try Safe Mode?
not working either.
even if it works, having to start wolfram alpha in safe mode every time is still inconvenient.
Safe Mode is meant for troubleshooting and not for permanent usage or workaround.
A lost of content on the page is loaded via XHR (JavaScript), so it still looks that some content is blocked either by Firefox or by security software or possibly by malware.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.
i am able to see results from wolfram alpha in safe mode. what's next?
I assume that you are referring to Windows Safe Mode.
If it works in Windows Safe Mode then it sounds that security (firewall, anti-virus) software is blocking some content and you need to check the settings for Firefox.
What security (anti-virus) software do you have?
yes what i mean is in windows safe mode with networking. i have Norton security suite. it's a special edition for Comcast customers. you may have to Google.
