Firefox home page search and right click options not working.
After refreshing Firefox in hopes of increasing response speed, I found that right clicking on a web page address brings up a much longer menu than before, which is okay, but now none of the options seem to work. "Open link in new tab" doesn't work, nothing happens. Likewise, "Copy link location" does not work, nor does "Copy image" for pictures. Also my Firefox home page, which is a Firefox search, doesn't work, when a search item is entered and "Search" clicked, the entry disappears and nothing else happens. To get here to ask for help I had to enter www.google.com on the FF browser address line and then use the Google search to get to these Mozilla support pages. I've since started Firefox in safe mode without success in enabling these disabled features. I have also refreshed Firefox once again without success, no change except my Menu Toolbar disappeared. What can I do to resuscitate these disabled features? I especially don't want to risk losing my bookmarks.

The indicated uninstall and reinstall has brought back the right click functions with the original, much smaller, listing, and thankfully retained my bookmarks.

Update:
The right click functions that don't currently work in Firefox ( "Open link in new tab", "Copy link location" and "Copy image") do work in Internet Explorer.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
- Download the Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop

If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
- Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- (32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
- It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.
If you keep having problems then create a new profile.
