Search and links on certain websites not working.
If you go to nike.com, there is a search bar on top that allows you to search for different products like "Boots," but when you press enter, nothing happens. I'm pretty sure this use to work and i tried it with chrome, which also doesn't work; however, this feature works fine with IE11.
There is also an issue with the rewards link on bankofamerica.com after you login to your account. Again this doesnt work for chrome but IE11 works fine.
Anyone else have this problem?

So this ended up being some weird issue with windows/software/registry/and possibly other stuff. After a fresh install of windows, everything works fine.
I think the original cause was from download DVDShrink, which installed a browser hijacker and screwed things up FF. Anyways, problem now gone.

On Nike's site, does it work for you if instead of pressing Enter, you click the magnifying glass at the front end of the box? Both of those are working for me in Firefox 36. A search from http://www.nike.com/us/en_us/ delivers me to http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/pw/boots-shoes/brkZ9kf?st=boots
(I have a lot of add-ons, so I can't be 100% sure it works on a plain vanilla Firefox.)
Can you think of any content or security filters that might be affecting this function?
In case one of your extensions is involved, could you test the page in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
- Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset).
Any difference?
I tried clicking on the magnifying glass but search still doesn't work. I also tried in safe mode as you suggested but still the same. I actually recently refreshed FFox and only have Java, Flash, and a youtube dl app installed.
If you follow this link to the store, does the page load the search results for boots?
http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/pw/boots-shoes/brkZ9kf?st=boots
Does the search bar work any better on that page compared with the home page?
Yes, the boots do show up in the link provided and the search bar on the boots page actually works. So does this mean that something is wrong with the search on the main page?
Actually, I was trying this on my work PC and both the search on the Main Page on the link you sent works. So this issue may have something to do with my home PC, which is troubling.
Modified
Hi thlin, the only thing I can think of is that the domain is different, www.nike.com submitting to store.nike.com and maybe that is being blocked on your home Firefox for some reason.
The site also uses search.nike.com for the suggestions that should appear as you type. It's a little complicated!

That was very good work. Well Done.
This is why users need to keep good backups.
