How can I stop the "Mozilla Firefox Start Page" tab from showing up when starting Firefox?

I have my desired start page set up OK. I just don't want that extra tab showing when starting FF.

Make sure that you have only one tab open when you set your homepage. Use Current Pages allows you to have multiple homepages. See - How to set the home page
