Can you supply a URL to that message please ?
Would you please go over these FAQs - and maybe try some of the suggestions ?
i went over the FAQs
they dont answer the question because they are all related to " Golf Channel" issues Verixon is my "streaming " provider It works on Internet explorer so the issue is with Firefox , not with Verizon or Golf channel
Have you tried any of the suggestions though ?
More people are reporting similar problems with Golf Channel ......
Another user says that the message they're getting is :
"Recent versions of Firefox do not support Adobe Flash with authenticated video streams. Please us another browser. "
You don't mention 'Adobe Flash' ....... are you maybe getting the same message ?
Firefox does support Adobe Flash. Your system details show that you have it installed - in Firefox it's called 'Shockwave Flash' and you'll find it in the 3-bar menu (or Tools) => Add-ons => Extensions. (make sure to set it to 'Always Activate').
Yes the message did include the " adobe flash " words
I checks and Shockwave is set to " always activate" on my system in the Golf Channel FAQ 's it asked " web browser must support HTML Media Source Ectensions" Does Firefox support that ??
Would you please look at this article :
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Media_Source_Extensions_API
And you can check here : https://html5test.com/
i am not computer savvy so those articles are Greek to me
Back to Basics I can view and stream it on Internet Explorer Why does it not work on Mozilla Firefox ?? It worked fine up to 2 days ago
Would you please not start your lines with a space - it makes your posts very hard to read ......

I can view and stream it on Internet Explorer
That's remarkable, cause in these FAQ's it says :
"GolfChannel.com streaming is not available on Internet Explorer due to HTML5 restrictions. Please use one of the browsers listed above instead. "
as i said , i am not computer literate -- just know that it currently works on Internet Explorer and does not on Firefox ??
This definitely seems like an issue with the website not using proper web standards. Can you contact their customer service and complain? Definitely tell them you'd appreciate them using proper web standards to ensure the site works with all browsers.
I just sent a long message to NBC Sports Group - their assumption about Firefox not supporting Adobe Flash may be based on the fact that NPAPI based plugins are no longer supported. Told them that Adobe Flash is an exception, and gave them articles to read .....
