Flash does not run on every site automatically any more, it has switched over to Click-to-Play. This delays Flash from starting on a page until you approve it.

With this setting, when you visit a site that wants to use Flash, you should see a notification icon toward the left end of the address bar and usually (but not always) one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an infobar sliding down between the toolbar area and the page.

The plugin notification icon in the address bar typically looks like a small, dark gray Lego block. When the page wants to use a blocked plugin, the icon turns red to alert you to the concern.

Do you see the plugin notification icon when you're on the page with the game?

If you see a good reason to use Flash, and the site looks trustworthy, you can go ahead and click the notification icon in the address bar to allow Flash. You can trust the site for the time being or permanently.

Of course, some pages use Flash only for tracking or playing ads, so if you don't see an immediate need for Flash, feel free to ignore the notification icon! It will just sit there in case you want to use it later.

thanks for answering, unfortunately has not solved my problem- did follow an icon small round and on the left hand of the address bar which led to a small oblong half white half grey box which in turn led to a list of permissions including one for Adobe flash. changed that to allow , but when i tried to call up the game it immediately flipped from the loading game to a page with2 other games to access and the following information prompt

Please note that newer versions of Firefox require you go through a series of steps to activate the Flash Player. You can read more about their update here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox/Releases/55

We now recommend that Mac users use Safari and that PC users use IE/Edge.

Alternatively, we at Jam City love Chrome so you could certainly use that as well! Install here: https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html

Have not been able to figure out what to do from there. I am not eager to use either Chrome or IE Edge

It really sounds like they no longer want people to use Firefox with their game. You could try clearing cache and cookies in case they somehow are using cached data to determine whether you have Flash enabled.

(1) Clear Firefox's Cache

See: How to clear the Firefox cache

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes. If you do not see the number going down on the page, you can reload it using Ctrl+r to check progress.

(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:

  • right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank area of the page and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • click the padlock or "i" icon in the address bar, then the ">" button, then More Information, and finally the "View Cookies" button

In the dialog that opens, the current site should be pre-filled in the search box at the top of the dialog so you can remove that site's cookies individually.

I'm not sure whether you would need to clear Facebook cookies, or Jam City cookies, actually...
