I repeated get a bogus page in Firefox saying I need to update. How to stop this? Different URL each time.

Every few days a page comes up that looks like Firefox and saying that I need to update. Each time that I have checked, the page has a different URL. Here are two examples:

Is it known who is doing this and is there a good way to stop them?

Hard to catch the scammers as   (like you already noticed)   they will change their   URL   on a daily basis.
You could try:
http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/addon/ublock-origin/

Thank you for your post and for spotting that these suspect downloads.

We are fully aware of this issue and are currently investigating solutions. As Firefox users ourselves, very much want to stop soon.
