This is now the SEVENTH time to 'complete' this for details. IE is sure faster, but I'm here, but I guarantee, not for long. Sick of nothing but WHITE, WHITE, WHITE backgrounds. My screen looks like a two-bit newspaper. Frankly, I am disappointed and disgusted. Been w/FF for eight years. Perhaps you have grown out of your britches, ya think? Seems so to me.

Backgrounds=color, not WHITE. Sick of it.

Hi Guenevere,

This question was marked as an issue with the Firefox OS phone, but from your message, it appears that you are having problems with your Firefox browser. Is this correct?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your background color being white.

Does this happen on every website that you visit, or only specific ones? Is the background for this support site showing as white as well?

Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings and disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).

(If you're using an added theme, switch to the Default theme.)

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item:
FirefoxSafeMode

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
  • On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)

Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode" Safe Mode Fx 15 - Win

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.

To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.

Thanks!!

Thanks, Ralph....

'bold text YES --Did it on ALL website backgrounds--FF, Bing and ALL WEB SITES, including our own which should be DARK GREEN, but is still stark white. I can't see where anything was changed. Why is it that difficult to solve? You (not YOU, personally) can send a man to the moon but can't fix a tiny little problem like background color. Every time I right click on ANY page, VIEW BACKGROUND IMAGE also shows greyed-out. All the other choices are there, which, of course, I do not need. Perhaps I should contact my friend at NASA -- he's the one that forced me into using FF! Surely HE can fix the problem.......OR.........

HOUSTON, I THINK WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!'

Jocularity is better than 'bitching' -- done enuf of that for all of us. JUST TELL ME WHAT TO DO, P-L-E-A-S-E???????bold text
