How do I turn off McAfee SiteAdvisor ?
SiteAdvisor significantly slows down surfing experience. But it does not appear in the plugin list. So I am unable to disable it...

I think that I have found a way to disable it :
- Go to about:config
- Create a new integer
- Enter name "plugin.state.npmcffplg"
- Enter value 0
- Restart Firefox
SiteAdvisor should now appear disabled in about:plugins.

Are you saying it doesn't appear in the Add-ons Manager, Plugins category? Note that it's not in the Extensions category.
That's it : it doesn't appear in the Add-ons Manager, Plugins category. But it appears in about:plugins.

You should also be able to disable this plugin in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins"
It does not appear in the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" list...
