A game running adobe flash player doesn't crash - it restarts the game and progress lost. What can I do to fix?
Happen over 50% of time on Shockwave.com "crossword" - also occurs on Addictinggames.com

Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash update and/or a malfunctioning browser plugin such as Real Player.

have you tried disabling or testing protected mode.
Even though firefox indicated that the shockwave flash plug-in was up to date and the the flash programs were installed on 07/20/2013, I uninstalled flash player, flash plug-in, & flash plug-in activeX (using control panel's uninstall program feature).
I downloaded a new copy of shockwave player from Adobe's website and installed it.
The first time I tried to play the "Crosswords" game on shockwave.com website, firefox asked to "get the player" - which I did.
I played Crosswords several times and the problem hasn't reoccurred.
I received an e-mail message from "Tylerdowner" suggesting that I update plug-in. I'm going to reply to "Tylerdowner" problem solved.
