My firefox is broken, won't load webpages correctly, already completed all the regular "problem solving" steps, what next?
Some webpages will open in Firefox, however most will not. My google search bar is broken, along with my yahoo search bar which only displays broken pages. The webaddress bar does very little, and will only open a few sites. Some that will not open include google, wikipedia, youtube, and yahoo.
I have already completed most of the steps of "fixing" issues, including resetting, starting in safe mode, uninstalling and removing completely, then reinstalling. I've added firefox to my firewall allow list. This has done nothing to help the issue, but has lost all my favorites, add ons, and preferences. I am having to use google chrome just to get help for firefox.
Even in safe mode, the issue persists. What do I do to get my firefox working again?
Chosen solution
Thank for the tips, however another user on the support forms was able to provide the help that fixed the issue.
I might add that in removing and deleting all data on my computer associated with firefox, it essentially removed everything you suggested, and also removed itself from my firewall (Which I checked before and after.) The fresh reinstall and modifying firewall/antivirus did not fix the issue.

If that doesn't work, try changing your DNS server. That was the only thing which worked for me when I hit similar problems.
Clearing my DNS Cache and restarting the computer immediately fixed the issue. I hope this information proves useful in the future for diagnosing and repairing issues.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
