I am trying to access my online banking. I can get in with other browsers with no problem. When I use Firefox I can't get in. After I enter my password, the tab says "Redirecting https://idp.firstnational.com. However nothing ever loads. Just a white screen below the toolbars.

In case it is a conflict with an add-on, do you want to try visiting the site in Firefox's Safe Mode? This article has the steps: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache

If you can load any page on the site, use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.

If not, or more generally, you can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) Remove your firstnational.com cookies. If you can view a page on the site, either:

  • right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

This will open a dialog to remove the individual cookies.

Or if the site won't load at all, you can open that dialog on this page, then change the site at the top of the dialog from mozilla.org to the site's domain.

Then try visiting the site again. Does that help?

Tried your suggestions but no luck. Still won't load that page from the site.

I checked the bank's support info and it does say they support Firefox. Did this problem start recently after an update, new add-on, or other change, or has the site never worked for you in Firefox?

It has been working fine. I noticed it a couple of day ago. I can still get into my other banks. Something about Firefox and this bank.

When I started my firefox in safe mode I could access the bank account. I finally figured out which add on was causing the problem. Thanks for your help.
