i have install firefox 17.0.1 but i have noticed when im searching from search bar or open a new tab ,alternating different colors

i have installed firefox 17.0.1 but i have noticed when im searching from adress bar or open a new tab ,the tab change colours(like blue,grey e.t.c).it is normal?is a bug?or anything else/i have windows 8 pro x64

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

i think the xmark is the problem but im not sure.is any alternative addon like xmark?how i can check hardware acceleration?
