hello techbrains, please try updating your graphics driver, or in case there is no new version available at the moment disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general.
The driver is up to date(it is a brand new computer) and I cannot open firefox, so I am not able to change that setting. It crashes right away before I can do anything.
you should be able to launch firefox in safemode & switch the setting there (essentially hold the shift key while starting firefox).
Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
it crashes in safe mode also
is it the same when you press windows-key + r & open firefox.exe -safe-mode in order to launch safe mode? (no other instance of firefox may be running in the background)
Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test with a standard graphics display driver to see if that has any effect.
