why is it when I try to save a website to my desktop I get 2 files?
why is it that when I try to save a website to my desktop it comes in 2 sections, a folder and something else...I just want to download, say, Amazon to my desktop, these are my choices, I can either bookmark it, which I don't want to do, or save page as, or send link. None of them seem to work the way I want it to. Can somebody help with this, I'm sure I'm not the only one having this problem

Well, when you save page as, what is dos is as you are seeing, it saves an .htm or .html file to your desktop, and the folder contains all the helper files that pages needs to display (css, images, js, etc.). If you delete the folder, the page won't display correctly or at all when you try to open it.
Now, what are you trying to accomplish when you download Amazon to your desktop? Maybe I can better help if I know what your end goal is :)

Hi Tyler, sorry it's taken so long to reply. I finally figured out what it was. It has something to do with MAFF, which I have no idea what it is, maybe a formatting thing...anyway, Firefox recommended that I download that, which I did...didn't change anything...so I went into all of my internet tools and options, and there was a box to check for MAFF, which mine did not have a check inside it, so once I did that, it worked.
Thanks for your help and response.
