Mouse/Keyboard inputs not showing up in Firefox
I recently received a new laptop from my workplace. I installed Firefox 10.0.2 and started to install the usual addons/plugins (adblock, read it later, flash etc.).
After restarting the browser, firefox started going into a 'hang' mode. It is not hanging per-se, but none of my keyboard or mouse actions show up on screen. So, if I type in the URL box "google.com" and press enter, the url box remains blank and the screen remains empty.
However, if I resize the window (or make it full screen), the actions that I entered (typing google.com and pressing enter) have already taken place. The screen then displays the google page, waiting for some input from my end. So, the program did take in my inputs but it did not show them on screen.
I've tried installing the program again and switched to firefox 11 but the problem continues to persist. Other browsers like Chrome and IE9 are working fine. Even after uninstalling all the plugins and the addons and re-installing the application, the inputs do not show up in firefox. Thanks to this, I now have to use Chrome (boo!)
Any help guys?

Hi,
Please try deselecting Use hardware acceleration when possible in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > Advanced > General. Options > Advanced
If the problem persists, please check if this happens in a new profile. If the new profile is okay, you can later copy the needed personal data from the old profile. Firefox stores your personal data and settings in another location separate from its files/folder. A new profile would have the default Firefox settings (Tools (Alt + T) > Options, and about:config ), and usually would also be empty of any Extensions and themes (Appearance) in Tools > Add-ons) and their settings. Also, a new profile would have no previous stored website data/settings etc., (Tools > Clear Recent History).

The first solution solved it - hardware acceleration was the problem. Thanks for solving my problem! :)
You are welcome :)
