searchq has taken over my browser

I no longer can get to my home page, nor can I search with Firefox. The searchq problem just started today. Earlier in the day I downloaded iLivid, which was supposed to make downloading files quicker and easier. Suspecting a connection between iLivid and searchq, I removed the iLivid program. However, searchq did not get removed. It's still in charge of my brower.
