You need to update to Firefox 9.0.1. - http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

The Firefox Page Zoom feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox, as with some other browsers.

Try the Default FullZoom Level extension and set a default zoom level:

Or the NoSquint extension:

You can try using Zoom. This will increase/decrease the size of everything on the page. You can try hitting CTRL and + a few times to try it out. CTRL and 0 will return it to normal size.

If that isn't what you are looking for you, you might want to look into some of the Accessibility features in Firefox - Make Firefox and web content work for all users options. There is lots of good information in that article.

The NoSquint extension can also adjust the page colors in addition to adjusting the font size, so maybe first take a look at that extension.
