
i use yahoo mail. if i copy and paste a link into an email to a friend the link is not live and the recipient has to copy and paste the link into the address bar. i do not get this problem if using internet explorer. How do i fix this problem.
this happens on both xp and windows 7.

On whatever web-mail service you are using, there should be an icon in the message composition window to insert a link. In this forum, rest your mouse pointer over the "chain" symbol at the top of the "Post a Reply" area and a tooltip will appear saying "Insert a link...".

Thanks to both for your help. i had firefox 9 installed and i found the chain you mentioned so thanks, that works fine. it just would be much more easy if i could just paste the link directly into the email, especially if you have lots of links to input. i dont really dont like I/explorer but i suppose if i have lots of links to put in then i suppose i should use that instaed of firefox. thanks again eric
