My home page is set to a blank page. If i quit firefox , and restart it it goes to the page where it was when I quit instead of a blank page. How do I stop this annoying feature.

Firefox preferences set to go to home page when it starts. Home page is a blank page. If I quit firefox at a page other than home page and restart it goes to the page it was on instead of a blank page. Very annoying. This feature is on all of my computers and has been on all firefox versions in all versions of ubuntu.

Chosen solution

Try this:

type in the address bar about:config

then press the button i'l be careful i promise

then type in the bar browser.startup.page

then right click on it, and change the value from (probably 2) to 0.

exit firefox and restart.

This help article on How to Set the Home Page should help.

Basically, you need to change the option in the General tab (Start Up section) from "Show my windows and tabs from the last time" to "Show a blank page".

Edit: bolded text for emphasis.

Basically, you need to change the option in the General tab from "Show my windows and tabs from the last time" to "Show a blank page". That has already been set in preferences and problem still occurs.
