With W7, 24 in monitor & settomg for font 18, websites are not full width & small text.

You are better off not changing the Font size in Options > Content -> Fonts and Colors, but rather use the Page Zoom feature to zoom web pages on that large monitor.

The Firefox Page Zoom feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox, as with some other browsers.

Try the Default FullZoom Level extension:
