Firefox only allows 4 websites to be saved in the location bar. How do I change this?

My location dropdown bar used to be able to hold as many websites as I wanted and it was convenient to be able to drop and click on a site rather than continually typing in the address of sites I frequent. A few months ago after an update (I'm not sure which one) the location bar started limiting my addresses to 4 in the bar. I've looked in the preferences options and online and I can't find anyone who's had the same problem who knows a solution. I'm running version 7.0.1. Thanks.

Do you have the FastestFox extension?

  • FastestFox Options > General, uncheck "Enhance Awesomebar"

See image 10 in the image gallery: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/9825

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

type in the address bar about:config

then press the button i'l be careful i promise

then type in the bar browser.urlbar.maxRichResults

then double click on it and change the value to 12 (for 12 maximum number of results, probably you have number 4 here)

press OK, exit firefox and restart.

Thanks a lot. My browser.urlbar.maxRichResults was already set to 12 but my FastestFox extension was set improperly. Thanks again for the help.
