keep being prompted to install a security and stability update for Firefox 6.0.2. Is this a valid Firefox update?

I wish to verify that this is a valid Firefox update and not a hoax update. I tried to install this when it first appeared and it froze during installation and the download window stated it would take a couple of days.

FF6.0.2 Is the latest version. Try this, click 'help' then click 'about Firefox' then click 'check for updates'
