Why would you remove the option to open a new tab with your homepage? What are you guys smoking?

That has never been a standard feature in Firefox, an extension has always been needed to have the homepage open in a new Tab.

Or you can middle-click the toolbar Home button to open the home page(s) in a new tab.

This can be done easily. Just install the FEATURED addon My Homepage
