Certain websites appear wrong, either as plain text, missing images or buttons not working correctly (View Image leading back to main page). This happened a day after receiving the "something is trying to trick Firefox to update" message.
As I said, multiple websites have been screwed up after a receiving a message yesterday about the "trick update".
I first noticed a problem with Facepunch, where clicking on buttons that aren't meant to go on another page. (Such as minimizing the highlights section not doing anything and attempting to view media tagged objects automatically would go into the main page.)
Later I tried to watch a stream on Dopelives, however, the livestream window failed to load and other images would not load. (Banner simply couldn't be found and the bottom images would appear only when hiding the window and returning.)
I checked YouTube, where the whole site simply was made of text. All buttons were simple grey buttons and everything was piled completely wrong.
I'm sure other sites are affected too.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
- "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
- "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extension) like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

So much for "all" Mozilla Firefox's so called "fixes". NOT ONE OF THEM WORK!!!
YOUR so called advice is the "basic" procedure.
Firefox has HAD PROBLEMS FOR MONTHS!!! This is PROVEN by the number that of responses using YOUR Error Message/Crash Report submissions I HAVE MADE ALONE!!!
When are you people going to FIX this?!?! I am now running YOUR so called NEW Firefox 13.0....so far it's CRAP!
As for the "Add On's" fix? Again BOGUS! When Tools/Add Ons is selected...the ADD ONS button? The thing JUST KEEPS ON LOADING...NOTHING HELPS OR WORKS!!! Better go back to the drawing board guys...by about 6 versions!!!!
