bookmark adding itself

The problem is that when I start firefox it is buzy for an minute or two then I can start the task. in the mean time it has added numberous of bookmark on pages i`ve never visited. It can be as many as 100 bookmarks at the time(!)

very annoying and it destroying my bookmark bar completely, any help appreciated

Sorry, I didn't realize that Bindwood was an extension which is used to "share bookmarks" with other users, when I first viewed your more systems details. That is an error with the Bindwood extension, I suppose.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Have you tried disabling Xmarks to see if that extension and service is causing that problem?

Disable xmark has no effect, and it is adding bookmarks even i safe mode (!)

in the error console I get this msg:

I dont know what this means and has no knowlege on solving this code. anyone who can read this code?

Thanks alot for helpfull answers:) I just removed the bindwood extension for firefox in software center, and it works fine again.
